Speaker

Tobias Herwig
fischer Consulting GmbH, Podcast Host „Fabrik der Zukunft“

Tobias Herwig is Managing Director of fischer Consulting in the fischer group of companies and host of the podcast ‘Fabrik der Zukunft’, one of the largest German-language podcasts on industrial production. He is an experienced manager and opinion leader in the field of production, logistics and Industry 4.0. In previous positions as Business Unit Manager for Factory Planning and Manager in a software company in the field of digitalisation in production, he has helped shape the factories of tomorrow and gained extensive practical experience. He is also a university lecturer for factory planning at DHBW CAS.
Reinhard Bertram
Head of internal IT & Group Cyber Security Officer
With over 30 years of experience in a wide range of information security roles, Reinhard Bertram combines technological depth with strategic foresight. As CIO and CISO of Softing AG, he is responsible for group-wide IT and information security – both operationally and strategically. He drives the integration of security into all areas of IT and product development, with successes such as the TISAX AL3 certification and the IEC 62443 4-1 certification as the foundation for NIS-2 and CRA.

His career has taken him through senior positions at T-Systems, BWI and Siemens, always focussing on security, IT architecture and transformation projects with high complexity and impact. He has extensive experience in leading large teams, building resilient IT structures and developing customer-centred IT/OT solutions in regulated and highly dynamic environments.

As a manager with an engineering background, he always thinks of security as an enabler for innovation, not as a blockade. His vision is to rethink IT boundaries, understand security as a business process and create IT architectures that shape change instead of managing it.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tilman Traub Professor of Automation Technology in Manufacturing at Applied University Aalen
Prof. Traub studied mechanical engineering at TU Darmstadt. During his subsequent doctorate (2014-2019), he investigated how decision-supporting assistance systems for forming processes can be designed. During his work in industry at Dreistern GmbH & Co. KG, he successfully transferred some of the developed approaches into industrial applications. Prof. Traub has been Professor of Automation Technology in Manufacturing at Aalen University since March 2023.
Kati Gastrow OT Senior Security Architect at Mars Inc.
Kati is part of the OT Security team at Mars, Inc, which supports the Mars factories, laboratories and warehouses globally in strengthening their OT security posture. She is a factory automation professional with more than 15 years experience in regional and global engineering roles at several manufacturing companies. She has led automation projects ranging from obsolescence migration projects in oil & gas, automation and digitalisation of personal care and home care processes, as well as global robotic strategy and AGV integration.
Dr.-Ing. Luu Hoang Executive Manager Operational Excellence at Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG
After completing his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Hamburg, Luu earned his PhD in automation technology. His dissertation dealt with the reconfigurability of production machines and capability models in the context of Industry 4.0. He gained extensive experience in food production with a focus on digitalisation. He is currently responsible for lean management and MES projects that have led to significant improvements. He is also involved in automation, digitalisation, maintenance and business architecture.
